For professionals already holding a masters degree or higher who want to study the nonprofit sector, the University offers a 13 course program focusing on management skills and theory. MA students take the MBA core curriculum, but do not have internship and thesis requirements. The MA degree can be completed in two years, however flexibility is provided to students who may require additional time to complete their degree.
Degree Requirements into the AJU nonprofit management MA program include:
Advisors
Each student is assigned a faculty advisor with whom he or she must confer at registration for program approval. Students should meet with their advisors at least once during each semester. Advisors are also available by appointment throughout the academic year.
Program Planning
Students are expected to be familiar with credit requirements and to keep an accurate check on their progress toward completing degree requirements. Students are advised to check all courses for prerequisites and avoid choosing classes which will result in schedule conflicts. They are also responsible for ensuring that they have completed all degree requirements in the course of their studies.
Residency Requirements
Students may transfer up to 9 credits of graduate or upper division undergraduate courses in management, which are earned post-Bachelor’s degree in which they have received a grade of B or better, from accredited colleges and universities, with the approval of the head of the program.
